MILLARD, Damiene R. -- Damiene R. MILLARD, 36, of Salem, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Christian Outreach Church. Burial will be in Oakland Mills Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an educational fund for Mrs. MILLARD's children.

Mrs. MILLARD was born Oct. 30, 1973, in Chico, Calif., the daughter of Carroll and Terri HANSEN. She married Wesley Aaron MILLARD Sept. 30, 2000, at Swedesburg Evangelicah Lutheran Church.

Mrs. MILLARD was a graduate of A.C.E Christian School and attended Butte Community College in California. In 1994, she moved to rural Wayland with her family. After moving to Wayland, Mrs. MILLARD first worked for Professional Designs in Lockridge on the floor and in the office. For the past 15 years, she has been employed as a secretary for Professional Designs and then RS Auto of Lockridge.

Mrs. MILLARD was raised in the Baptist faith and currently attended Faith Christian Outreach Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, growing flowers, and listening to audio books. She also enjoyed cooking and watching various cooking shows.

Survivors include her husband; two young children, Eli Thomas and Karsten Carol; her parents of Wayland; one sister, Megan BROWN of Wayland; one brother, Forrest HANSEN of Wayland; and her grandparents, Jacqueline REED of Wayland and George DANIELS of Daytona, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carroll and Lorraine HANSEN Sr.
