ADAMS, Gloria E. -- Gloria E. ADAMS, 89, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Cremation has been accorded. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Salisbury, Conn.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. ADAMS was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Winthrop, Mass., the daughter of Louis and Mary HOUSTON SALERNO. She married Philip ADAMS in 1943. He died in 1988.

Mrs. ADAMS was a graduate of the University of Maryland. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Connecticut and, for many years, in Melrose, Mass., before moving to Fairfield a year and a half ago.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas ADAMS and wife Sandra of Fairfield and Randy ADAMS and wife Barb of Unity, N.H.; one grandson; and one sister, Ginny OLSEN of Medfield, Mass.
