WATSON, Dewey W. -- Dewey W. WATSON, 83, of rural Stockport, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Open visitation is from 2-5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Hillsboro Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 3257 Ash Ave., Hillsboro 52630.

Mr. WATSON was born Feb. 25, 1926, near Stockport, the son of Carl and Martha STANDLEY WATSON. He married Gladys CARTER March 1, 1975, in Fairfield. She died Nov. 7, 1998.

Mr. WATSON spent his life farming on the farm where he was born and raised. He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean conflict.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marshall WATSON; and two sisters, Myrtle WATSON and Naomi JOHNSON.
