ZIHLMAN, John Daniel -- John Daniel ZIHLMAN, 94, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with military rites.

Mr. ZIHLMAN was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Fairfield, the son of John Joseph and Bertha Victoria CARLBORG ZIHLMAN.
A lifetime resident of Fairfield, Mr. ZIHLMAN graduated from Fairfield High School in 1935. He worked at the Dexter Company for 40 years before his retirement.
Mr. ZIHLMAN served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1942-1945.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a past exalted ruler of BPO Elks No. 1192 and was a member of the Walton Club.
He is survived by cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Frances ZIHLMAN.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Interment was held Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, following Christian Prayers, which were recited at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to A Welcoming Family of Faith Church or The Lord's Cupboard.
