H.L. SELLERS dies at 83

H.L. "Si" SELLERS, 83, 605 S. Main St., died Tuesday noon at the longterm care unit of the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been a patient there since Dec. 2.

SELLERS had been a resident of Fairfield for 56 years. Cremation is scheduled and a memorial service will be held at a later time. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home.

SELLERS was born June 2, 1900 at Redfield, Iowa, the son of James and Margaret ARMSTRONG SELLERS. He was reared in Redfield, graduating from Des Moines University. He moved to Fairfield in 1928.

He was married to Helen JACKSON Sept. 7, 1930. He was a salesman for Swift and Comapny for 22 years. He also filled positions in the city engineer's office and the Fairfield Water Department. He was later employed by the Fairfield Lumber Co.

SELLERS is survived by his wife. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge No. 1192.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, Red Cross or Cancer Society, as the donor wishes.
