The memorial service for Helen JACKSON SELLERS, 91, who died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 1991, at Parkview Care Center, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville, Ill. The body was cremated. Friends may sign the register at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. SELLERS was born Aug. 5, 1900, in Jacksonville (sic. Illinois), the daughter of Joseph and Mae MAHONEY JACKSON. She married H.L. "Si" SELLERS on Sept. 7, 1930. He died Jan. 24, 1984. A lifetime resident of the Fairfield community, she was employed as a secretary at Parsons College, in the superintendent's office at Fairfield High School, Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Frist Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter C, PEO, and First Presbyterian Church. She was a "pink lady" volunteer at Mount Pleasant Mental Health Institute and with her husband operated the American Red Cross Closet in Fairfield.
Two nieces and three nephews survive. A sister, Lucille CURRY, preceeded her in death.
