RUBLE, Clyde Marion -- Clyde Marion RUBLE, 84, of Copan, Okla., formerly of Douds, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at home.

A private family service was held Wednesday.

Arrangements were in the care of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mr. RUBLE was born Jan. 9, 1925, in Douds, the son of Clyde Jackson and Mamie LaRue DOWNING RUBLE. He married Barbara Jean WATSON Nov. 10, 1945, in Wichita, Kan.

Mr. RUBLE grew up near Douds and graduated from Douds High School in 1943. He was employed by Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, Okla. He and his wife lived in Tulsa and Dewey, Okla., before moving to Copan, Okla., in 1971. Mr. RUBLE was employed by Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville for 17 years and retired in 1990.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rod and Emmett RUBLE, both of Dewey, Okla., and Kenneth RUBLE of Copan, Okla.; two daughters, LaRue TAGGART and Beverly STOTTS, both of Copan; one brother, Maurice RUBLE of Bartlesville; one sister, Patty TOWLES of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marvin and Jack RUBLE; and one sister, Kay CRIST.
