PEIFFER, Mary Genevieve -- Mary Genevieve PEIFFER, 96, of Fairfield, died at 12:32 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, where visitation will follow from 5-7 p.m. and a wake service will begin at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary Welcoming Family of Faith or American Heart Association.

Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. PEIFFER was born Sept. 5, 1913, in Marceline, Mo., the daughter of Albert F. and Rosalie GELSKI ROBINSON. She married Ernest Vincent PEIFFER Aug. 13, 1934, in Brookfield, Mo. He died Oct. 13, 1980.

Mrs. PEIFFER grew up in Brookfield, Mo., and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Brookfield. She and her husband farmed southeast of Brighton until moving to Fairfield in 1955. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. PEIFFER was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Mary coffee club and St. Mary study club.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy NELSON of Fairfield; one granddaughter; two sisters, Marguerite BROCKMAN of Brookfield, Mo., and Joan MAIN of Bucklin, Mo.; and one brother, Leon ROBINSON of Columbia, Mo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter and three brothers, Francis, Eugene and James Howard ROBINSON.
