GILBERT, Darby Brooke -- Darby Brooke GILBERT, 17 of Stockport, died Saturday November 28, 2009 at Columbus Junction as the result of a car accident.

Fuenral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Matt Churchill, the Rev. Mike Metz and Chad Ulrich will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at the Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield. Intermet will be at Spencer Cemetery near Stockport. Darby Brooke GILBERT was born August 7, 1992 at Ottumwa. She was the daughter of Stuart and Kathy GOEHRING, GILBERT. Darby was a Senior at Fairfield High School. She played softball for Fairfield and was active in the Red Angus Association. She grew up around Stockport and enjoyed riding horses in her free time. She was a member of the youth group at the Lancaster Church in Lancaster, Missouri.

She is survived by her father Stuart (Kay) of Stockport; her mother, Kathy GOEHRING of Libertyville; a sister, Sara (Adam) KARNOWSKI of Crestview, Florida; two brothers, Wyatt GILBERT and Sam DICKINSON of Stockport; Maternal Grandparents, Larry and Nicky GOEHRING of Fairfield, Paternal Grandparents, Roy and Dorothy GILBERT of Stockport; Aunts and Uncles, Mike and Jeanette GOEHRING and family of Keosauqua and Cindy (Mike) HEWITT of Agency.

The Darby Gilbert memorial fund has been established.

Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
