L.C. BALL IS DEAD IN WEST

Brother of Fairfield Women Summoned in Los Angeles

Word was received this morning by Mrs. Paul F. McLEAN and Miss Pearl BALL of the death of their brother, L. C. BALL, in the Veterans' hospital at Los Angeles, Cal., yesterday.

Mr. BALL had been in the hospital about four months, suffering with high blood pressure and heart trouble.

The body will be brought to Fairfield the first of the week and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Note: Son of Lewis Cass BALL and Evaline FISHER BALL. They, and their daughters Hester BALL MCLEAN and Pearl BALL are all buried at Evergreen Cemetery as well (in other plots).

BALL Services To Be Held Here On Sunday Afternoon

The body of L. C. BALL, who died in Los Angeles, Calif., on June 21st, will arrive in Fairfield Saturday morning, and will be taken to the Hoskins Funeral home in this city.

The funeral services will be held in Fairfield Sunday afternoon, but the hour and the place have not yet been designated awaiting the arrival of the funeral party.

L. C. was the only son of Lewis C. and Eva FISHER BALL, both deceased. He was born March 2, 1892 and spent the most of his life here in Fairfield, graduating from the local high school and attending Parsons college for a time. he served in the World War, spending ten months in France with the Motor Transport Division. He was married August 4th, 1924 to Ethel VAN DOREN. Six years ago, he and his wife moved to California to make their home. His wife will accompany the body home.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Cora B. CASE of Evanston, Pearl BALL and Mrs. Paul F. McLEAN of Fairfield.

During his residence here he belonged to the Elks, Eagles lodges and the American Legion.

BALL FUNERAL HERE SUNDAY
Last rites will be Held At McLEAN Home At 4:00 p.m.

Funeral service for L. C. BALL will be held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Paul F. McLEAN, 502 North Main street, in charge of Dr. W. F. Rex, at 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
