HART, Elke ANDRESEN -- Elke ANDRESEN HART, 65, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at home.
A memorial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Harold Schutte officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Research Foundation.

Mrs. HART was born June 2, 1944, in Nordstrand, Germany, the daughter of Bernhard and Kate Irma ANDRESEN. She married Ronnie W. HART Feb. 12, 1961, at her parents' farmhouse.
Mrs. HART attended school in Germany and then in the United States at Star School, Pleasant Point School and Mount Pleasant community schools. She and her husband lived in Mount Pleasant, Trenton, Oakland Mills, Rome and Tucson, Ariz., for seven years.
She enjoyed spending Sundays with family, playing cards, crafting, raising flowers, fishing, knitting, crocheting, baking and decorating cakes, spending time with friends and on her farm and helping people.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa HART, Lori ELDER and husband Shawn and Shelly SCARFF and husband Kelly, all of Mount Pleasant; her parents; three sisters, Anita HILL, Edie FORD and Ingi McDOWELL, all of Mount Pleasant; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Randall.
