Death Comes to George N. LIGHT

George N. LIGHT, 1501 Liberty Drive, died at 7:55 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past four months and seriously ill the past three days.

Last rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. D.O. Van Dyne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

George N. LIGHT, 76, was born Jan. 22, 1894, in Fairfield, the son of Frank and Laura MOYER LIGHT. He was reared and educated in Fairfield. He graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1914, attended Parsons College and was a graduate of the Gem City Business College and Banking, Quincy, Ill.

He spent his entire life in Fairfield and operated a neighborhood grocery store before his retirement.

On Oct. 18, 1919, he was married to Marjorie EATON at Quincy. He was a member of the Congregational Church at Quincy.

Survivors include his widow; two sisters, Mrs. P.O. FERREL, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Wade FLINSPACH, Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother.
