Mrs. Catherine Bevier NIMMONS LIGHT was stricken with paralysis at her home in this city Saturday morning and passed away Monday morning. Mrs. LIGHT was born at Binghamton, N.Y., January 5th, 1828, and was married to Solomon LIGHT at East Barre, the same state, October 3d, 1852. The young people removed immediately to Plymouth, O., and came thence to Fairfield in 1857, and this city has been the home of the family ever since.
Mr. and Mrs. LIGHT were the parents of six children, four of whom are now living - Frank and Miss Kate LIGHT of this city, Rev. Samuel LIGHT of Randolph, Neb., and Mrs. Allison BETZ. The husband and father died here March 26th, 1889.
Mrs. LIGHT was a woman of more that ordinary excellences. Quiet and unassuming in her manner, her life was one of devotion to her family and her home and she faithfully and lovingly discharged every duty which came to her. During more than half a centruy of life in Fairfield she had formed many friendships among its people and all those who knew her will regret her death and sympathize with the stricken family. Funeral services will be held at the home on North Court street this afternoon at 2:30, Rev. W.W. Montgomery having charge of the exercises.
