OLD RESIDENT DIED YESTERDAY

Z.T. MOORE Passed Away at His Home Near Libertyville

Z.T. MOORE, a well known resident of this vicinity, passed away at his home two miles west of Libertyville about four oclock (sic.) yesterday afternoon. He had been in ill health for the past several months.

Although Mr. MOORE did not make his home in Fairfield, he had many friends and acquaintances here, having visited here often until his affliction confined him to his home. He was also an earnest worker in the Sunday school and church.

Zachariah T. MOORE was born March 15, 1848 at Bakersville, Pennsylvania, being at the time of his death, seventy-four years of age.

He is survived by his wife, and three children. They are Mrs. Emery CARTER of near Libertyville, Mrs. Harrie COPELAND (sic. Harriet?), and Rollie at home.

Funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock (sic.) in charge of Rev. Fiz of Richland. Burial will be in Fairfield abbey.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I have no relation to the person(s) mentioned.

------
Transcriber note: The Fairfield Abbey Mausoleum was closed in the mid-1960s and those individuals that were not claimed by family were reinterred in the 2nd Addition at Evergreen Cemetery. The individual in the above obituary was one of those who were reinterred.

Present burial plot at Evergreen Cemetery:

Note: His wife (Sarah VAUGHT MOORE) and son Rollie MOORE are also buried in this plot under the same circumstances as described above.
