TWISS, Erma J. -- Erma J. TWISS, 67, of Keosauqua, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

A memorial will be designated by the family at a later date. Gifts to the memorial may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 916 Country Lane Drive, Apt. 23, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. TWISS was born June 2, 1942, in Keokuk, the daughter of Keith and Elsa SCHMIDT FLETCHER. She married Charles O. TWISS Nov. 19, 1977, in Bonaparte.

Mrs. TWISS grew up in and lived most of her life in Bonaparte. She graduated from Bonaparte High School and Omaha Business College. She worked for Western Union Telegraph Company in Chicago, Fairfield Glove Company in Fairfield and Riverside Plastics in Bonaparte. She also was a homemaker.

Mrs. TWISS had been a member of the former Order of the Eastern Star Bonaparte Chapter.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Tina HAYNES and husband Doug of Stockport, Tammy JENNINGS and husband Don of Stockport and Kelly BROWN of Keokuk; two sons, Marty TWISS and wife Cynthia of Montrose and Mickey TWISS and wife Melissa of Salem; 14 grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one one sister in childhood.
