Monday April 19, 1915ISRAEL JUNE DIED HERE YESTERDAY
Israel JUNE passed away yesterday afternoon at four o'clock at his home on East Kirkwood street after an extended illness.
Mr. JUNE was born in Ohio, May 6th, 1839, being at the time of his death 75 years, 11 months and 12 days old. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac JUNE, and is survived by his aged wife and an adopted son, Roy JUNE.
April 5th, 1881, Mr. JUNE began work as sexton at Evergreen cemetery and in 1884 was elected as superintendent, and very faithfully performed his work until April 7, 1913, when he resigned on account of failing health.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence, being conducted by Rev. R.H. Polly of the Christian church. Jefferson Lodge No.4, I.O.O.F., of which Mr. JUNE has long been a member will have charge of the services at the Mausoleum where the remains will be placed.

Transcriber note: The Fairfield Abbey Mausoleum was closed in the mid-1960s and those individuals that were not claimed by family were reinterred in the 2nd Addition at Evergreen Cemetery. The individual in the above obituary was one of those who were reinterred.Present burial plot at Evergreen Cemetery:
2nd.244-1/2The headstone is engraved with "Isreal June 1915". At least one other headstone in these special burials has a name engraved that is inconsistent with the obituary spelling, so perhaps the headstone engraving is a result of a mis-spelling.
