CALDWELL, Marcia K. -- Marcia K. CALDWELL, 71, of Brodhead, Wis., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Woods Crossing Nursing Home in Brodhead.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Brodhead, Wis., with the Rev. Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at D.L. Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
A memorial fund will be established.
Mrs. CALDWELL was born July 20, 1938, in Fairfield, the daughter of Wayne and Madge HARPER McINTIRE. She married James A. CALDWELL Oct. 7, 1962, in Fairfield.
Mrs. CALDWELL was an elementary school teacher, having started her career in Beloit. She later taught in Brodhead, where she retired in 2000. She was a graduate of Fairfield High School and Parsons College.
Mrs. CALDWELL was a member of United Methodist Church in Brodhead, Retired Educators Association and Red-Hatters. She was involved with Green County Relay for Life and volunteered for Reach for Recovery. She also belonged to the Monday Night Bowling League.
She enjoyed volleyball, reading, making crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Brian CALDWELL and wife Michele of Plover, Wis., Lisa CALDWELL of Oregon, Wis., and Leslie WEBER and husband Tom of Wonewoc, Wis.; two brothers, Jack McINTIRE of Greensboro, N.C., and Bruce McINTIRE of Davenport; one sister, Judy RANDOLTH of Fairfax, Va.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jerry and Alan McINTIRE; and three sisters, Shirley McINTIRE, Sandra McINTIRE and Patricia GOEHRING.
