Saturday May 7, 1955Illness Fatal To Mrs. Harold WATTS of Mt. Pleasant
Mrs. Harold WATTS, former Fairfield resident, passed away at the Mr. Pleasant hospital this morning. She had been in ill health for several years. She had suffered a series of heart attacks, the last one of which she suffered about a month ago and had been hospitalized since that time.
Last rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Crane funeral home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. James Martin, Mt. Pleasant and the Rev. S.P. Williamson, Fairfield, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
Mrs. WATTS was the former Grace SNOOK, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bert SNOOK, and was born in Fairfield. She attended Fairfield schools and was a graduate of the state university. She was an active worker in the Christian church while the family lived here. They moved to Mt. Pleasant ten years ago where her husband has been foreman at the Mr. Pleasant News. He was formerly foreman at The Ledger office.
Besides her husband a son, Leland of St. Louis and a daughter Roberta, who is a student at Iowa Wesleyan, survives. One grandchild also survives her.
