KUENSTER, Margaret Ann -- Margaret Ann KUENSTER, 60, of Brighton, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at home due to failing health.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City, with the Rev. Rudy Juarez officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, followed by Prayers for a Christian Wake at 7 p.m.

General memorials may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at 2028 South Ridge Drive, Coralville 52241.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Mrs. KUENSTER was born Dec. 14, 1948, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Merle and Eleanor PEIFFER DICKINSON. She married James KUENSTER Dec. 14, 1979, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Dec. 25, 2008.

Mrs. KUENSTER grew up in Iowa City and graduated from Regina High School in 1966. She worked as a secretary and medical transcriptionist at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics until she retired in 2001. She had lived in North English and North Liberty before moving to Brighton in 2001.

Mrs. KUENSTER's interests included crocheting, knitting, reading, baking and cooking. She was a Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include one son, Steven CROSSETT and wife Diane of Coralville; two daughters, Jamie MASCHMANN of Wayland and Wendy KUENSTER of Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and three sisters, Jane DICKINSON and Jean BARTHOLOW, both of Iowa City, and Sara DICKINSON of Lake Worth, Fla.

Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
