KEERSEMAKER, James E. -- James E. KEERSEMAKER, was born November 19, 1946 at Dixon, MO and passed October 21, 2009 in Uttarkashi, India. Jim graduated from McClure High School in Florissant MO. And received his associates degree from Florissant Valley Community College and his MBA from Maharishi University of Management.

From an early age Jim showed keen interest in both spiritual pursuits and in humanitarian works. He studied directly with the Vedic Sage His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and became a teacher of Transcendental Meditation in 1973 in La Antilla, Spain. He personally taught more than 400 people the TM technique.

Jim participated in teaching projects around the world to help create peace including a trip to Nicaragua in 1978, which resulted in an end to the civil war. His global travels on teaching projects took him to many countries, including the Phillippine's (sic), India, Europe and Central America.

In 1982, Jim joined the Maharishi Purusha Program, a program for single men who have deep interest in enlightenment and peace. The final year of Jim's life was spent in deep meditation in the Himalayas.

Jim is survived by his dear mother Mary M. KEERSEMAKER, his brothers John, Mark, and Thomas, and dear sister Lisa ESSARY. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and remembered as one whose bright light and focus on the highest values brought happiness to all he touched. His infectious enthusiasm and good-hearted, joyful nature overflowed into everything he did.

He is at peace and in the hands of God. His family and friends remember all the good times filled with laughter and loving memories and how grateful we are to have him as part of our lives forever.
