GRABENBAUER, Lynette 'Lynn' -- Lynette "Lynn" GRABENBAUER, 64, formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Sanford Sheldon Health Center in Sheldon.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Sheldon, with the Rev. Marvin Lindley officiating. A second service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown.

Visitation begins at 3 p.m. today at Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon, where the family will be present from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Mrs. GRABENBAUER was born March 30, 1945, in Charles City, the daughter of Raemond and Irene SHAFFER ASH. She married Woody GRABENBAUER Dec. 28, 1966, in New London, Conn.

Mrs. GRABENBAUER graduated from Traer-Clutier High School and studied X-ray technology at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. After marrying, she and her husband lived in Connecticut, where he was stationed with the Navy, before moving back to Iowa. They lived in Marshalltown and Ames before moving to Sheldon in 2001. Mrs. GRABENBAUER worked as an X-ray technologist and later worked in banking. In Sheldon, she worked at Farm Bureau Financial Services until her health forced her to retire.

Mrs. GRABENBAUER was a member of United Methodist Church in Sheldon and PEO.

She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, singing and riding the motorcycle with her husband.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Cory GRABENBAUER and wife Kellie of North Liberty and Bryon GRABENBAUER and wife Jill of Copperas Cove, Texas; four grandchildren; and one sister, Kay McBETH of Prescott Valley, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
