SCHADT, Lucile E. -- Lucile E. SCHADT, 88, formerly of Brighton, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Parkview Manor in Wellman.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Church of God in Brighton, with the Rev. Ryan Meader officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials to the family may be left at the church or may be mailed to the family at PO Box 283, Brighton 52540.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Mrs. SCHADT was born May 11, 1921, in Bristow, the daughter of Louis A. and Henrietta J. DOHLMAN McKINNEY. She married Calvin O. SCHADT. He died March 11, 1972.

Mrs. SCHADT grew up in Bristow and attended Bristow schools. She and her husband lived in Independence and Davenport before moving to Brighton in 1971. They owned and operated the Brighton Locker. Mrs. SCHADT also had worked as a waitress, grocery clerk and department store clerk. She also helped her son in the Richland Locker.

Survivors include 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez JACKSON of Dumont and Anna BEENKEN of Morrison; one brother, Kenneth McKINNEY of Dumont; and three daughters-in-law, Ruth and Stephanie SCHADT, both of Brighton, and Suni SCHADT of Killeen, Texas.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Rodney, Roger and Raymond; two infant daughters, Sharon and Rae Jean; and six great-grandchildren.
