MOORE, Mildred Ann -- Mildred Ann MOORE, 71, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

MOORE, Mildred Ann -- Mildred Ann MOORE, 71, of Farifield, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Lester Schlatter offering words of comfort. Interment will be in West Chester Cemetery.

Visitation, with the family, will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established. Cards and memorials may be sent to 307 S. Court St., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. MOORE was born July 19, 1938, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Robert L. and Gertrude MORGAN WALLACE. She married Howard W. MOORE Jr. Jan. 8, 1955, in West Chester.

Mrs. MOORE had been a resident of the Fairfield area since 1985. She was employed as a bookkeeper for various Fairfield companies until she retired.

Mrs. MOORE enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Melinda MENDENHALL and husband Jerry of Palm Springs, Calif., Vicki RITZ and Charles BLYTHE of Mount Pleasant, Julie HILL and husband Dan of New London and Shawn MOORE and wife Mandy of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen VILMONT of Washington, Iowa, and Linda KEASLING of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon HOLE.
