FISHER, Glen M. -- Glen M. FISHER, 81, formerly of Batavia, died at 4:42 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Lloyd Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery near Eldon.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. FISHER was born May 26, 1928, near Eldon, the son of Jesse I. and Emma ENLOW FISHER. He married Dorothy I. DeMOSS Aug. 2, 1986.

Mr. FISHER worked for Coca-Cola, MeGee Plumbing & Heating and Stanley Transfer & Storage.

He was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Danville, Ill., and was a licensed minister with Church of the Trinity.

Survivors include his wife of Fairfield; one son, Gerald R. FISHER of Blue Srings, Mo.; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Jewell TAFT of Ottumwa; and three brothers, Darrell and Frank FISHER, both of Ottumwa, and Jesse FISHER of Agency.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jesse FISHER; two daughters, Kathryn and Joy FISHER; one sister, Ellen BOOE; and three brothers, Carl, Art and Wilbur FISHER.
