Noah WRIGHT, living in the south part of town, died very suddenly at his home last Monday night. About nine o'clock in the evening he retired, but complained of not feeling well. He rapidly grew worse and in about fifteen minutes he died. The funeral was held at the home this morning at half past nine o'clock, Rev. G.W. Mapes officiating. The remains were taken to the Wright grave yard in Cedar township, where the religious exercises at the grave were conducted by Mr. G. B. Phillips. Mr. WRIGHT was one of the first three settlers in Jefferson county. He was born in Kentucky, Oct. 19, 1812. About the year 1834 or 1835 he removed to Illinois and came to Iowa in 1836, living for many years in Cedar township. Afterwards he went to Washington county, where he lived many years, and about twelve years ago removed to Fairfield. He was married in Kentucky to Miss Sarah VANCE, who died some twelve years ago, and after coming to Fairfield he was married to Mrs. BEAN, who survives him. Mr. WRIGHT leaves three sons and one daughter. He was eighty-two years, three months and twenty-nine days old.
