Leonard Berl PARCELL

Leonard Berl PARCELL, 89, 505 N. Court St., died at 12:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesay at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

PARCELL was born March 1, 1905, in Brighton, the son of Frank and Bessie BROWN PARCELL. A resident of Fairfield for most of his life, he graduated from Fairfield High School in 1925. On Dec. 24, 1934, he married Agnes Marine DUNN in Fairfield. He was employed at Dexter Co. before owning and operating the Parcell Grocery Store for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are his wife; three sisters, Mildred GARDNER of Mount Pleasant, Faith SLOSSER of Fairfield, Marjorie MUELLER of Davenport; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Glenn, and a sister, Norma KANN, preceded him in death.
