Ray H. LOEHR, 92, longtime resident of Fairfield, died at 3:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday.
He had been a patient at the Nelson Nursing home where he became criticaly ill five days ago.
Last rites will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Raymond H. LOEHR was born March 10, 1883, in Libertyville, the son of John F. and Eliza McCREERY LOEHR. He was 92 years old Monday.
He lived in the Libertyville Community until he was 12 years old when the family moved to Fairfield.
His marriage to Nellie B. McGAW took place Dec. 26, 1906. She died Dec. 4, 1941. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, four sisters and three brothers. He was the last of his immediate family.
Survivors include two grandchildren who reside in Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews including George and William BAKER of Fairfield.
LOEHR was a life member of BPO Elks 1192 and the K of P Lodge. He spent most of his adult life in Fairfield where he was associated with Shell Service stations.
