KING, Ruby Jane -- Ruby Jane KING, 80, of Fairfield, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

No local service is planned at this time. The body has been cremated.

Cards and memorials to the family can be sent to 405 W. Grimes Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. KING was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Charleston, Mo., the daughter of James Edward and Ruby GOLIGHTLY ARNOLD. She married Lyman HARRIS in 1953, and they were later divorced. She married B.F. KING in 1976. He died in January of 2000.

Mrs. KING was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Jefferson County Hospital.

Survivors include seven children, Sandy BUTTRY and husband Thomas of Sikeston, Mo., Tom HARRIS and wife Merian of Fairfield, John HARRIS of Fairfield, Sonny HARRIS and wife Sue of Fairfield, Janie VENTICHER and husband Mike of Jamaica, Iowa, Lorie FARMER and husband Randy of Fairfield and Jeff HARRIS of Pleasant Plain; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Betty BECHTHORE, Mary BANK and Bob ARNOLD.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Ruth Ann FERRIS, Charles ARNOLD and James E. ARNOLD Jr.
