David G THORNBERRY Died This Morning

David G THORNBERRY passed away this morning at his home on South Depot street, after an illness of several years with cancer. He had been in very poor health for several years and bedfast for the past several months.

Mr. THORNBERRY would have been seventy-four years of age on April 23rd. He has been a well known painter and paper hanger in this city for the past forty-five years and has made many friends who will regret to learn of his death.

Beside his wife he is survived by two sons, Thomas of Oelwein, and Clarence of Creston. Two sons, Harry, who passed away about two years ago, and Rollie, have preceeded their father in death.

The funeral will be held from the home Monday afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Rev. W.R. Keesey of the Methodist church.

Transcriber note: The wife referred to in the obituary was Susan Elvira LEWIS. They were married on November 3, 1874 in Jefferson County, Iowa.
