NEECE, Ada -- Ada NEECE, 85, formerly of Packwood, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

Arrangements are pending at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.

NEECE, Ada Mae -- Ada Mae NEECE, 85, died August 2, 2009 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. She was born January 10, 1924 to John and Rama ALTER BAUMGARTNER near Germanville.

She graduated from Packwood High School in 1942. On October 28, 1942 she married Harold Richard (Dick) NEECE in Kahoka, Missouri. They farmed in the Packwood area for 10 years and moved to Sigourney in 1956. Ada was employed at the Keokuk County Hospital in the dietary department for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dick on February 23, 1989, on brother Glen BAUMGARTNER, nephew Dennis ALTMAN.

She is survived by a brother Max BAUMGARTNER of Burlington, twin sister Eda ALTMAN of Garden Grove, California, sister-in-law Reva BAUMGARTNER of Ottumwa, two nieces Connie (Royce) SPARKS of Newton, Mary Ann HESSE of Fairfield, Iowa and a nephew Ken (Pam) ALTMAN of Fairfield, California.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.

Burial -- Friends Cemetery at Richland.

Visitation will be one hour before service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials to the Keokuk Co. Health Center.
