POLK DUBOIS PASSES AWAY

Polk DuBOIS, one of the best known and highly respected citizens of Jefferson county, died at four o'clock this morning at his farm home north of Fairfield. For several weeks he had suffered from a complication of diseases including diabetes, and the end was not unexpected.

The funeral services will be held Saturday morning at ten from the home and will be in charge of Rev. S. B. Ross, assisted by Rev. R. H. Polly(.) Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.

Polk DuBOIS was born in Jefferson county, November 24, 1845, and was consequently in the seventieth year of his age. He was the son of the late John W. DuBOIS who had settled in this county in January, 1843.

Note: Buried in Lot 2nd.097. He was married on November 7, 1882, to Mary Ann BLOUGH who survived him; she died in 1931 and was buried with him. Polk was a son of John Wesley and Elizabeth DILL DuBOIS.
