WEST, Gerald 'Jerry' D. -- Gerald "Jerry" D. WEST, 72, formerly of Pleasant Plain died Monday, April 10, 2000, in Boulder, Colo.

Burial was April 14 at Boulder View Cemetery in Boulder. Contributions were made to Boulder County Hospice.

Mr. WEST was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Pleasant Plain, the son of Joseph and Stella BLACK WEST. He married Velma ALSON in 1950 and later married Hazel RIGBY in Boulder in 1971.

He was raised in Pleasant Plain and graduated in 1945 before going into the United States Air Force. He was a retired postal worker and a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Diana KYLE of Longmont and Donna KLEIN of Erie, Colo.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Clara STOCKMAN of Longmont and Icile BOWERMAN of Prescott, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Glen, Loren, Cloyce and Earl WEST; and two sisters, Cecil HARLAND and Gladys GOFF.
