WEAVER, Wayne Lesley -- Wayne Lesley WEAVER, 95, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Nelson Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Antioch Church.

Mr. WEAVER was born April 20, 1905, in Fairfield, the son of Owen S. and Stella SIMMONS WEAVER. He married Elizabeth Ellen WALKER Oct. 28, 1930, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Sept. 17, 1984.

Mr. WEAVER grew up in Penn Township. He attended Buchanan Township school and Fairfield High School. He was a lifetime resident of Jefferson County, except for 10 years when he lived in Denver. Colo. working for Gates Tires. He was a carpenter and farmer before his retirement.

Affiliated with the Antioch Church, he was also active in the Fairfield Senior Citizen Chorus.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth WEAVER of Wayland; two granddaughters; and one great granddaughter.
