TURNER, Fredrick 'Buss' -- Fredrick "Buss" TURNER, 81, of 807 S. Maple St. died Tuesday morning, March 21, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday with family visitation from 7-8 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or to the donor's choice.
Mr. TURNER was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Fairfield, the son of Thomas and Gertrude JOHNSON TURNER. He married Frances Lorraine MILLER July 4, 1938, at the Christian Church in Lancaster, Mo.
Mr. TURNER lived his entire life in the Fairfield community. He was a 1937 graduate of Fairfield High School. He worked at Pickens Firestone as sales manager for 12 years. He started the first NAPA parts company in Fairfield. He, along with his wife, opened and operated Iowa Tire Sales Company since 1944. The couple had attended the Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Fairfield; two daughters, Mona Sue HOWARD and Crystal RENEKER, both of Fairfield; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Elaine RUBY.
