SNIDER, Carroll L. -- Carroll L. SNIDER, 90, of Medway, Ohio, formerly of Iowa, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Dayspring Health Care Center following an illness.

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia, Ohio, with the Rev. Bryan Forbes officiating. Burial will follow at Medway Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Care.

Mr. SNIDER was born July 26, 1918, in Abingdon, the son of Perry J. and Waneta O. DeGOOD SNIDER.

Mr. SNIDER was a retired manager with Cadco Co.

He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.

He attended Medway Christian Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2271, Clinton Lodge No. 15 F&AM and Elks Lodge No. 1192, all of Fairfield, and Keosauqua Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen; one daughter, Sherry FINCH and husband Robert of Huber Heights, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
