MORAVEC, Scott Lawrence -- Scott Lawrence MORAVEC, 38, of Bloomington, Ill., formerly of New London, died Friday, June 12, 2009, in Bloomington.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Don Collings officiating. Interment will take place at Burge Cemetery in New London.

Family visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to an education fund for Mr. MORAVEC's children or Boy Scouts of America.

Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. MORAVEC was born June 29, 1970, the son of Larry and Maribeth OETKEN MORAVEC in New London. He married Beth GATES Oct. 20, 1990, in Danville.

Mr. MORAVEC graduated from New London High School and from Iowa Wesleyan College with honors in accounting in 1994. He had worked for State Farm Insurance since September 1994, with management positions in Bloomington, Ill.; Woodbury, Minn.; Lincoln, Neb.; and Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was active in the YMCA youth soccer club and was a Cub Master of Pack 321 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Mr. MORAVEC enjoyed following NASCAR and camping with family and friends. He also enjoyed photography.

Survivors include his wife of Washington, Iowa; one daughter, Caitlin of Washington, Iowa; one son, Trevor of Washington, Iowa; his parents of New London; and two brothers, Brett MORAVEC of Bloomington, Ill., and Drew MORAVEC of St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Blanche MORAVEC and Vernon and Mary OETKEN.
