CHAPMAN, Roy W. -- Roy W. CHAPMAN, 90, of Bonaparte, died at 3:15 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

CHAPMAN, Roy W. -- Roy W. CHAPMAN, 90, of Bonaparte, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews (lower case sic) officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Open visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will be present form noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials to Bonaparte Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at PO Box 363, Waukee 50263.

Mr. CHAPMAN was born April 16, 1919, in rural Bonaparte, the son of Will A. and Sophie CHAPMAN.

Mr. CHAPMAN was a retired farmer. He had lived his entire life in the Bonaparte community until entering the Good Samaritan Center in September 2007.

Survivors include several cousins, including Betty DeWITT of Waukee, and several close friends and neighbors.

His parents preceded him in death.
