BRERETON, William 'Bill' -- William "Bill" BRERETON died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at home.
Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

BRERETON, William 'Bill' -- William "Bill" BRERETON, age 70, died Sunday at his residence in Libertyville.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield. The Rev. Dave Petersen will officiate at the service. Interment will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Bill BRERETON was born November 11, 1938 in Jefferson County. He was the son of Samuel and Lula Mae BLAKELY BRERETON. Bill attended school in Fairfield. On October 4, 1959, he was united in marriage with Wanda Arlene YOUNG at Grace Hill Church, near Brighton. Bill drove truck for most of his career, driving for Norris Asphalt the last part of his career. He and Wanda also operated a grain business. His hobbies were horses and miniature ponies. He took part with his team in parades. He also enjoyed going to the Kalona Sale Barn.
Survivors include his daughter, Evelyn (Rocky) FOSDYCK of Floris; two granddaughters, Kim GROVE and Rachel MORTON and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Mason and Adison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Wanda on May 7, 1997; two sisters, Marjorie RAYMOND and Mildred McDONALD and four brothers, Paul, Clyde, Lester and Lloyd.
Memorials may be given to the family.
