WILLIAMS, Evelyn Irene -- Evelyn Irene WILLIAMS, 76, of rural Birmingham, died at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Birmingham United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Open visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Birmingham United Methodist Church, Hospice of Central Iowa or Van Buren Good Samaritan Center may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 10372 Keystone Ave., Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. WILLIAMS was born Oct. 1, 1932, in rural Louisa County, the son (sic) of Frank and Eunice METZGER ARINGDALE. She married Rex L. WILLIAMS Oct. 13, 1956, in rural Columbus Junction.

Mrs. WILLIAMS worked four years as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell in Burlington and 21 years as an office manager for Van Buren County Conservation Board in Keosauqua and Bentonsport. She also was a farm homemaker and helped her husband with their farm operation.

Mrs. WILLIAMS was a member of Birmingham United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Rebekah Circle, United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gayle WILLIAMS and wife Julie of McPherson, Kan., Kent WILLIAMS and wife Linda of Birmingham and Myron WILLIAMS of Wayland; five grandchildren; and one brother, Robert ARINGDALE of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Arlene REIGHARD and Doris ARINGDALE.
