HEMM, Linda M. -- Linda M. HEMM, 61, of Keosauqua, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Elder David Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at PO Box 332, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. HEMM was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Davenport, the daughter of Warren and Juanita HAIGH. She married Raymond L. HEMM Dec. 19, 1998, in Keosauqua.

Mrs. HEMM graduated from Davenport Central High School. She completed nursing school in Ames. She had lived in Davenport, Cedar Rapids, Salt Lake City, Utah, Ottumwa and several locations in Illinois before moving to Keosauqua in 1996. She was a registered nurse at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center until retiring for health reasons.

Mrs. HEMM was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairfield.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Sarah SNELLING of Keosauqua; one son, Daniel ERWINE of Urbana, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Merian HARRIS of Keosauqua and Marvena SCHACHTNER and husband Gary of Packwood; four stepsons, Orlie, James and Orville HEMM of Keosauqua and Jess HEMM of Oakdale; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five stepgreatgrandchildren; and one sister, Nancy BARTLETT of Orem, Utah.

Her parents preceded her in death.
