ALLISON, Edna 'Sami' Arlene -- Edna A. ALLISON, age 93 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at SunnyBrook Care Center in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be held 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville, IA.

Edna "Sami" Arlene ALLISON was born August 31, 1915 in Wapello County, IA, the daughter of John A. and Cora Mae (BROWN) HARRISON. She graduated from Fairfield High School and was united in marriage with Merl "Bill" W. ALLISON in Eldon, IA on June 2, 1935. He preceded her in death March 1, 1996.

Edna was employed as a cook at Libertyville School for 29 years.

She is survived by daughter-in-law Jean KELLER and three grandchildren and their families: Jerry ALLISON and wife Kathy, Terry ALLISON and wife Karen, and Steve ALLISON and wife Barbara. Edna was blessed with six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Larry G. ALLISON, her parents and husband, and eight siblings: Buela KIEWS, Guy HARRISON, Mary HERMAN, Andy HARRISON, Bob HARRISON, Bill HARRISON, Jessie HUFFMAN and Johnny HARRISON.
