WALKER, Robert Dale -- Robert Dale WALKER, 86, of Fairfield, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mark Brase officiating. The body has been cremated.

Family visitation will follow the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1720 Pleasant Plain Road, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. WALKER was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Bloomville, Ohio, the son of Carl and Christena MUNZ WALKER. He married Florence Eileen LAUER June 28, 1975.

Mr. WALKER served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a staff supervisor for New York Telephone.

He was a member of Walton Club and Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; five children, JoAnne STAFFA, Marilyn VOGELIEN, Jean WALTER, Valerie McCAULEY and John WEISSHEIER; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
