McNEELEY, Howard Allen -- Howard Allen McNEELEY, 93, of Dunnellon, Fla., died following a short illness Monday, March 30, 2009, at home.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Sweden United Methodist Church in Lockridge.

Mr. McNEELEY was born May 22, 1915, in Henry County, the son of George and Hazel HOBBS McNEELEY. He married Shirley B. GOHN Feb. 4, 1939, in Fairfield. She died Sept. 13, 2006.

Mr. McNEELEY attended schools in Henry and Jefferson counties.

Survivors include five children, Karen BOHENSTENGEL and husband Ron of Valders, Wis., Charles McNEELEY and wife Rae of Lockridge, Sonja MYSLIWIEC and husband Ken of Burbank, Ill., Kenneth McNEELEY and wife Arlene of Momence, Ill., and Everett McNEELEY of Gainesville, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lillian PHIPPS of Hemet, Calif., Dorothy PIERCE of Moline, Ill., and Betty MICETIC of Worth, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and five brothers.
