LAKE, Charles William -- Charles William LAKE, 73, of 200 North 28th St., died Tuesday afternoon, April 28, 2009, at home.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jeff Anderson officiating.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. LAKE was born Jan. 6, 1936, in Decatur, Ill., the son of William and Pauline DURBIN LAKE. He married Marian LACOCQ June 19, 1957, in Decatur, Ill.

Mr. LAKE lived most of his life in Decatur and served in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert LAKE of Fairfield and Charles LAKE of Mount Vernon, Ill.; one stepson, Bill BENNETT of Fort Madison; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
