CHURCH, Willa M. -- Willa M. CHURCH, 77, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Lockridge, died Friday evening, April 24, 2009, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in rural Rome, Iowa.
Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. CHURCH's memory.

Mrs. CHURCH was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Max E. and Ruby L. PARKER WOODS. She married Howard R. CHURCH June 16, 1947, in Mount Pleasant. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. CHURCH had worked at Ruby's Cleaners, Metro Mail Group, Garrison Equipment, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and Mental Health Institute.
She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She had been a volunteer for Community Action of Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include three children, Sheila CHURCH of Mount Pleasant, Vickie CHURCH of Davenport and Tom CHURCH of Mediapolis; five grandchildren; two sisters, Regina ACKLES of Trenton and Shirley STEVENS of Mount Pleasant; and two brothers, James WOODS and Charles WOODS, both of Mount Pleasant.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wayne; and three sisters.
