HUERTA, Marcelino 'Bubba' III -- Marcelino "Bubba" HUERTA III, 56, formerly of Fairfield, died from brain cancer Thursday, March 19, 2009.

A service was held March 22 at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church in Tampa, Fla.

Mr. HUERTA was born Dec. 27, 1952.

Mr. HUERTA lived in Fairfield in the late 1960s while his father coached football at Parsons College. He majored in journalism at the University of Florida and later became a criminal defense attorney.

Survivors include his wife, Terri; one daughter, Caroline; and one sister, Susan ALFONSO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria and Marcelino "Chelo" HUERTA Jr.
