SCHOCK, Kenneth Owen -- Kenneth Owen SCHOCK, 80, of Fairfield, died Saturday, April 10, 2009, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. The body has been cremated. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. SCHOCK was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Keokuk, the son of Elmer D. and Bernice RUSSELL SCHOCK. He married Betty TOWNSEND Jan. 15, 1978, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Mr. SCHOCK retired as general manager of Ideal Ready Mix in Fairfield after 54 years.
He was a member of First Methodist Church in Fairfield, as well as BPOE No. 1192, Walton Club and Lions Club.
In his younger years, he raced stock cars. His later hobbies included golfing, hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed his work and visiting with people.
Survivors include his wife; two children, Craig O. SCHOCK of Keokuk and Kathy Jo SCHOCK HAHN and husband Harold of Fairfield; two stepchildren, Dixie LEWIS and husband Tom of Davenport and Ron TOWNSEND and wife Lynn of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Murry R. SCHOCK of Kahoka, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sons, Gary and Larry SCHOCK; two sisters, Joy SCHOCK and Xena SCHOCK MYERS; and one brother, Roger SCHOCK.
