DOOLEY, Wilda Faye -- Wilda Faye DOOLEY, 95, of Raymore, Mo., died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Foxwood Springs Care Center after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. April 6 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating.

A gathering of family and friends, with refreshments, will follow the April 6 service at Birmingham United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Richland.

Mrs. DOOLEY was born April 24, 1913, near Birmingham, the daughter of Thomas Irving and Virgie Blanche GALL WILLIAMS. She married William Gordon DOOLEY June 10, 1931. He died June 20, 1985.

Mrs. DOOLEY was a graduate of Birmingham High School. She and her husband farmed near Keosauqua before Mr. DOOLEY became a budget officer for the Bureau of Reclamation. They lived many years in Bismarck, N.D., and Amarillo, Texas, before retiring to the Foxwood Springs Retirement Community of Raymore, Mo., in 1981.

Mrs. DOOLEY was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Raymore.

Survivors include one son, W. Glenn DOOLEY of Raytown, Mo.; two sisters, Marjorie GOULD of Richland and Beulah PHILLIPS of Keosauqua; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Vera URQUHART DOOLEY; three brothers, Lester, Arthur and Robert WILLIAMS; three sisters, Lucille DOUGHTY, Beryl KERR and Marie KURKA; and her special friend, Delos JETER.
