COX, Miriam TROUT -- Miriam TROUT COX, 79, of Wickenburg, Ariz., formerly of Douds, died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Phoenix, Ariz.

A memorial service and interment of the cremains will be held at a later date at Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds. Mrs. COX donated her body to science.

Local arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home of Douds.

COX, Miriam 'Mim' TROUT -- Miriam "Mim" TROUT COX, 79, of Wickenburg, Ariz., formerly of Douds, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Hospice of Arizona in Phoenix, Ariz., after a month-long illness.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Memorials may be brought to the service or mailed to the family at PO Box 368, Haxtun, CO 80731.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Mrs. COX was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Wapello, the daughter of Lewis Ray and Nellie SADLER TROUT.

Mrs. COX grew up in Douds and graduated from Douds High School in 1947.

Survivors include her husband, Guy COX; one son, Michael C. LaMASTERS and wife Kathy of Stockton, Calif.; one daughter, Randi HART and husband Ron of Haxtun, Colo.; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Roscoe TROUT of Carmel Valley, Calif., and Clarence "Louie" TROUT of Wickenberg, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joel LaMASTERS; one grandson; two sisters, Edna HELGELAND and Jean TROUT in infancy; and her former husband, Les STACY.
