WOOD, John Willis -- John Willis WOOD, 81, formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, in Riverside, Calif., from heart failure.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, 28200 Portsmouth St., Sun City, CA 92586.

Mr. WOOD was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Fairfield.

Survivors include three children, Marla WOOD-NELSON and husband Warren of Canyon, Texas, Calvin WOOD and wife Kerry of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and Bobette MOORE and husband Mike of Menifee, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Minnie and one grandson.
